Making Pretzels

In the weekend I made pretzels with my family.  First we made the dough. Then we made them into the shapes.  Next we soaked them in water for 10 seconds and put them in the oven. Once they had cooled down we ate them, they were very chewy. 

Raspberry lamingtons

 

Today I made raspberry lamingtons with my mum. We bought some sponge cake. Then put desiccated

coconut into a bowl. Next We added icing sugar and jelly crystals into another bowl.

Then we added the melted butter into the icing sugar and jelly crystals. After that we cut the sponge cake

into pizza shaped triangles because the sponge cake was round it was easier than  any other shape.

Finally we dipped the sponge cake triangles into the icing and into the coconut.Then we put them on a

tray and waited for the icing to dry.

It was delicious!

WeetBix Slice

 Yesterday on room 9’s class call we made weet bix slice. We all got packs of what we needed from Mrs Faalili. First we mixed all the ingredients together. Then we put the mixture into a tray and in the oven.  After 15 minutes everyone took theirs out of the oven in their kitchen. I waited for mine to cool down and then I made the icing. The recipe said to put cocoa powder in the icing but I did not because I wanted to make vanilla icing. Then I put colourful sprinkles on top. That evening my family and I ate some for dessert. My family really liked it but I didn't.  I did not like it because of the chocolate and the weetbix mixed together inside the slice.

Baking tamarillo and apple crumble

 On Sunday I baked some tamarillo and apple crumble.  First I peeled, cut and cooked the apples.  Next I spooned all the tamarillo into a bowl and mixed the the apples and tamarillo together. Then we made the crumble. Some of the ingredients are Brown sugar, coconut and oats.  When it was finished we ate it with ice cream.  I liked the crunch in the crumble. 

Baking at home

I made yoghurt donuts with passionfruit icing.  We grew the passionfruit in our garden. Our dog tried to steal one off the bench but we stopped her and went she away.  The donuts were delicious. My favourite part was making the icing.
